Overview
AU offers a broad and flexible choice of majors and minors. Students may double major, construct their own interdisciplinary major, or have their major in one school and a minor in another. AU encourages students to transcend the boundaries of academic disciplines.
The International Student and Scholar Services office meets the special needs of international students, providing visa and immigration support, orientation, leadership opportunities, and counseling.
"AU students are doing their own things — internships, part-time jobs, and other activities. More than just schoolwork. I’m far from home, but in college I feel like there is someone always there for me. DC has everything — shopping in Georgetown and Tyson’s Corner, the White House, the Smithsonian Museum. And it’s not hard to find Japanese or other countries’ foods."
